Case #124576

Rhinoplasty Patient #1433

This 37 year old patient asked Dr. Parker to improve the appearance of his nose as well as his obstructed breathing in his left nostril. The patient requested a smaller nose with the dorsal hump gone, straighten his crooked nose, set back his nasal tip, yet retain his ethnicity. At surgery, Dr. Parker reduced the bony-cartilaginous hump, rounding his bony edges with rasps avoiding infractures which would have over-narrowed the nose. He performed a septoplasty to help straighten the nose, improve the patient’s breathing and harvested septal cartilage to be used in the nasal tip area. Dr. Parker carved the septal cartilage into a septal extension graft to support the nasal tip as well as for lateral crural strut grafts to help set back the tip and support it.
