Professional Background

Dr. Delgado joined the Kaiser Permanente Medical Group staff in San Rafael, California, in 1988. In 1989, Dr. Delgado left Kaiser to open a private practice in Novato, California, adjacent to the original Novato Community Hospital on Hill Road. When Novato completed a new hospital facility on Rowland Way in 2001, Dr. Delgado joined many other Novato physicians in moving their practices to the new campus. It was on the new Novato Community Hospital campus that Dr. Delgado chose to open Marin Cosmetic Surgery Center. There he could provide his surgical patients, not only with private concierge care in a state-of-the-art surgical facility but also with that extra measure of safety and reassurance based on the surgery center’s contiguous location to a full-service hospital.

My doctor says I'm not a candidate for full Tummy Tuck. My muscles need to be tightened but I see fat on top. He will lipo my flanks, waist & hips but I want my tummy done. He uses the "water jet" method to lipo. I am very athletic and healthy.

Thank you for your question. The lower tummy can safely be liposuctioned in most cases. However, if there is little fat present he may be concerned about irregularities created by the liposuction. You can always get another opinion regarding this issue.

Are the stomach muscles always repaired during a complete abdominoplasty? What would be the point in not repairing the muscle?

The muscles are usually always repaired to achieve a flat look of the abdomen. You may not repair in a patient who still wanted the option of having kids in the future, a patient who has a large hanging section of skin and this is the only concern. Sometime, the core is very tight already. Good luck

The best filler is a hyaluronic acid fillers for the under eyes region. This filler is light, not to firm, and can be dissolved if required. I believe Restylane may be a little better than Juvederm in this area.

You certainly need for the breast to dry up from milk production completely. As this happens the size of the breast will reduce in size. Try to be patient with this process.
