I agree with all of the very good answers provided. Surgery as a young women is indidiualized and the understanding and support of your parents is critical. You will be advised that although a breast reduction in the right candidate can be very helpful for you in terms of clothing, exercise, self-confidence, there are aspects you should be very aware of. There will be scarring, you may not be able to breast feed in the future and there is a chance your breast size could increase from hormonal or diet influence possibly leading to a revision surgery. You are smart to visit this site. You should look for the find a surgeon section to find a board-certified plastic surgeon you can visit with your parents. Dr. Edwards

At this point in your recovery it is important to stay in close contact with your plastic surgeon. They have the ability to examine you and follow the changes you describe. It will take weeks to months before you see the final results of your surgery. In terms of revision, without a picture or exam it is difficult to counsel you on the best approach should revision be necessary. Dr. Edwards

I agree with Dr. Momeni that your question cannot be answered without being able to see what it is that is concerning you. I recommend you seek a second opinion with a board-certified plastic surgeon with experience with breast revision. Dr. Edwards

Can I still get a breast augmentation if I am still producing a milk supply?

You should not have a breast augmentation while you are still lactating. The risk is that breast milk could theoretically accumulate around the implant and be difficult to deal with. I ask my patients to have stopped breast feeding for at least 3 months and that they not be spontaneously producing milk. I hope this helps, Dr. Edwards
