How much does plastic surgery post-pregnancy cost?
The cost varies by surgeon, geographic area, and the combination of procedures you get.
The average costs for common post-pregnancy procedures are as follows. However, there are generally cost savings when combining procedures versus getting individual procedures.
- Liposuction: $2,736*
- Tummy Tuck (abdominoplasty): $6,764*
- Breast Lift (mastopexy): $4,864*
- Breast Reduction: $5,806*
- Breast Augmentation (implants): $4,235*
- Breast Augmentation (fat grafting): $2,959*
*The above statistics come from the 2021 Aesthetic Plastic Surgery National Databank Statistics, which were compiled using Aesthetic Neural Network (ANN) data from 294 participating plastic surgery practices across the US. These numbers only reflect standard procedure costs (surgeon and facility fees) and may not include fees for anesthesia, medical tests, prescriptions, surgical garments, or other miscellaneous costs related to your procedure(s).
Does insurance cover plastic surgery post-pregnancy?
Because a post-pregnancy plastic surgery is elective surgery, insurance does not cover these costs (with the possible exception of a breast reduction). Many surgeons offer patient financing plans to make the procedures more affordable.
What should I consider when evaluating costs?
Choose your surgeon based on quality, training, and experience—not cost.
