Should I wait or can I get breast implants now?
I am currently overweight but slowly losing. Can I get implants now so I don't lose my size and no one notices or should I wait?
When losing weight, it is always best to get to your stable weight that you are able to maintain easily with your daily routines. Your breasts will change with weight loss and you may not like what changes occur following an augmentation followed by weight loss. So the recommendation is to wait.
I would also agree with the recommendation to wait. Once your weight stabilizes for a period of time you may more easily be able to determine what you are looking for. Our bodies continually change with weight loss (and gain) and it is not recommended to continually undergo surgery. All surgery comes with risks and each time you have a procedure you are facing the exact same risks.
Implants With Breast Augmentation While Overweight- It will be optimal to lose your weight and be within 5-10% of your ideal body weight before doing any breast augmentation to get the best results.
It is best to reach your goal prior to having breast procedures. Otherwise, you would likely experience changes in shape if you continue to lose weight after the procedure. If seriously considering a breast procedure, I would encourage you to seek a consultation so that your board-certified plastic surgeon can guide you.
It is best to lose all the weight you are planning on losing first, as this will affect choice of implants size and may also determine whether a breast lift will be needed.

Thank you for your question. I would recommend that you finish reaching your goal weight before having breast augmentation. Your breasts will continue to change as you lose more weight. You want to be at a stable weight before your breast augmentation so that your procedure can be more accurately planned for your new breast shape after your weight loss.
