I've spoken with my mother and she supports me on my decision. Is my age a problem? My breasts have stopped growing and I am going to consult my doctor soon. I am very asymmetrical and have small breasts.

For cosmetic breast augmentation, the FDA has stated that a woman must be 18 yo for saline implants, and 22 yo for silicone gel. If there is a reconstructive reason, an earlier age can be done. A tummy tuck can be done after prior abdominal surgeries, but with certain previous scars, and increased risk of wound healing problems may occur. Your consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon will help to evaluate this. Learn more at: www.PlasticSurgery-Houston.com Sincerely, Thomas C. Can I have a tummy tuck done after 15 months of having tumescent/power assisted liposuction? After having the tumescent/power assisted liposuction/micro laser assisted, I ended up with a pooch and a lump below my belly button. Can tummy tuck fix these irregularities? Thanks

A tummy tuck is designed to improve skin excess and muscle wall looseness. I often prepare patients for a tummy tuck by doing liposuction a few months before if they have a significant amount of abdominal wall fat. I am 24 years old, and had saline implants at 19. My natural breasts (before surgery) sort of faced out, not forward. Now that I have larger breasts, I can really tell. When not wearing a bra, I have no cleavage because of the way my breasts lay. When I lay flat on my back, my breasts fall to the…

Generally, breast augmentation is going to increase certain preop asymmetries such as laterally placed breasts. Trying to "fudge" the implants more centrally will cause the nipples to point laterally to an extreme. Although cleavage will increase with augmentation, since you had laterally placed breasts preop, the cleavage will not be as tight as in a woman with centrally located breasts preop. Also, when lying down, due to the greater weight with the implants, it is common for the breasts to fall to the side. read more at: https://plasticsurgery-houston.com/breast-augmentation-houston/ Sincerely, Thomas C.
