Dr. Behmand has over 20 years of experience in plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine. Prior to establishing his practice in Franklin, Tennessee, he practiced in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he maintained a successful private aesthetic surgery practice and served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek for ten years. He also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center, where he trained residents and fellows in aesthetic plastic surgery.
His expertise includes facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, breast lift surgery, liposuction-assisted body contouring, tummy tuck surgery, and comprehensive mommy makeover procedures. Dr. Behmand graduated with honors from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society, an honor reserved for the top 10% of medical students. He completed an intensive six-year plastic surgery residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, one of the world's most respected surgical training programs. During his final year of training, he served as Academic Chief Resident.
Following residency, Dr. Behmand completed an advanced aesthetic fellowship focused on facial plastic surgery and rhinoplasty under internationally recognized plastic surgeon Dr. Bahman Guyuron. This additional specialized training further refined his expertise in facial aesthetics and advanced surgical techniques.
Dr. Behmand has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 2004 and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons since 2005.
