Dr. Canizares completed his General Surgery residency at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus, over 5 years. He then transferred to Dallas, Texas, where he began his sub-specialty training at one of the most prestigious centers in plastic surgery, the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. There, he earned his degree in Plastic Surgery and returned to San Juan, Puerto Rico, to begin his practice in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His passion for aesthetic surgery led him to dedicate himself exclusively to cosmetic surgery of the face, breasts, abdomen, and extremities.
