She graduated with high honors from the University of Texas at Austin and Baylor College of Medicine, completing residencies in both General and Plastic Surgery before taking on some of the military’s most demanding surgical roles.

Her work extends far beyond the operating room. Dr. Brostrom has led humanitarian missions across Central America and Asia, directed the military’s transgender surgery program, and helped thousands of patients recover from trauma, cancer, and congenital conditions. As a mother of twins, she also understands firsthand the physical and emotional changes that come with life and pregnancy.
