Professional Background
Dr. Jacobs earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester in 1968 before attending Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated cum laude in 1971. He continued his training at Vanderbilt University, completing a combined residency in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and General Surgery from 1971 through 1975.
Following his residency, Dr. Jacobs remained at Vanderbilt serving as the Acting Chairman of the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery until 1977. He then relocated to Virginia Beach to complete a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine, where he established the foundation for his career in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery
