Education & Training
Dr. Cocco attended University of Arizona, in Tucson, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and minored in French and Chemistry. After that, she received her Medical degree from the University of Arizona, College of Medicine.
After receiving her Medical degree from the University of Arizona. Dr. Cocco was selected to complete her plastic surgery internship and residency at the highly competitive University of Texas Medical Branch program, which was one of less than 10 programs in the country offering a five-year integrated curriculum in all areas of aesthetic plastic surgery, cosmetic procedures and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Cocco’s rigorous residency training program has equipped her with the tools to take care of victims of facial trauma, cancer, and burns. She has experience in the treatment of congenital malformations, such as ear deformities, skin growths, and other enlarged or abnormal body parts. After completing her residency in Plastic Surgery, she sought additional training in reconstructive microsurgery. She traveled to Switzerland and Belgium to improve her microsurgical techniques using perforator flaps for breast reconstruction and lower extremity reconstruction.
Currently a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Jennyfer Cocco, M.D. has continued to refine her cosmetic surgery skills by training with internationally renowned cosmetic surgeons through various traveling apprenticeships, as well as regularly attending seminars and conventions, both in the U.S. and Europe, for the purpose of continuing education. Her ambition is to establish herself as one of the best plastic surgeons in Dallas, TX.
