About Jared Nimtz, MD
Introduction
Dr. Nimtz seeks to transform the aesthetic goals of his patients, who visit from the Lexington area, Georgetown, Louisville, London, and Bowling Green, KY, as well as Knoxville, TN, into surgical realities. He strives to deliver exceptional care, provide comfortable surgical experiences through attentive service, foster a safe environment, and educate and listen to the individual. His philosophy of plastic surgery is to achieve beauty by adhering to the aesthetic of proportion found in nature and appealing to our inherent sense of beauty.

Education & Training
Dr. Nimtz completed his internship and residency in a selective 6-year integrated plastic surgery program at the University of Kentucky. As an undergraduate, he attended Brigham Young University, where he graduated with honors in microbiology. While attending the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University, he was a recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship.

Dr. Nimtz has earned certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The ABPS is the only board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties to certify plastic surgeons. Board-certified plastic surgeons are specifically qualified to perform a complete range of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery procedures for the face and body. They must complete at least 5 years of surgical training after medical school, including an accredited plastic surgery residency program, have practiced for at least 2 years, and have passed rigorous plastic surgery exams.
