Professional Background
Dr. Jiménez completed his plastic surgery residency at the renowned Fernando Ortiz Monasterio Plastic Surgery Service at the General Hospital of Mexico (UNAM), one of the most prestigious plastic surgery training programs in Latin America. He also completed advanced microsurgery training focused on reconstructive surgery.
Throughout his career, his clinical and academic focus has centered on advanced breast surgery, facial rejuvenation, body contouring, and complex reconstructive procedures. His expertise includes revision breast surgery, explantation surgery, post-oncologic breast reconstruction, Deep Plane Facelift surgery, and management of complex secondary breast deformities.
Dr. Jiménez currently serves as National Secretary for Mexico within ISAPS and is an active member of the ISAPS Educational Council on Breast Surgery, as well as the Editorial Board of the ISAPS Aesthetics Journal.
He is also President of the BRN (Breast Reconstruction Network) Foundation in Guanajuato, dedicated to altruistic breast reconstruction for underserved patients affected by breast cancer, and Director of the Breast Surgery International Fellowship Program sponsored by the University of Guanajuato.
His academic contributions include multiple peer-reviewed publications and book chapters focused on breast surgery and body contouring, including contributions to Spear’s Surgery of the Breast and Nelligan’s Plastic Surgery.
