Education & Training
Dr. Glen Brooks enrolled at the University of Rochester School of Medicine after earning an applied mathematics degree at Northwestern University. It was during medical school, while doing a plastic surgery rotation, that he decided to become a plastic surgeon.
“I observed a surgeon performing breast reconstruction using the patient’s own tissue and thought it was the most amazing thing I had ever seen,” he says.
After earning his medical degree, Dr. Brooks then completed a general surgery residency at Rhode Island Hospital and Brown University. He followed that with a plastic surgery residency at Harvard University, during which he treated patients at New England Deaconess Hospital and Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.
