A board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Gene K. Lee specializes in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, eyelids, nose, ears, breast, and body. A native of Los Angeles, he completed dual residencies in both General Surgery and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Southern California after spending formative years living in Seoul, South Korea. He has been in private practice in Beverly Hills since completing his training, where he is known for delivering individualized, natural, and refined results.

Shaped by his multicultural background, Dr. Lee has developed a nuanced understanding of diverse standards of beauty across different cultures. This perspective informs his aesthetic judgment, allowing him to create results that enhance and preserve the intrinsic beauty unique to each patient’s identity.

Upon graduating from Washington University in St. Louis with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a minor in Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology (PNP), Dr. Lee went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati, with additional graduate studies in health policy and administration at Harvard. During his surgical training at USC, he was awarded the prestigious USC Broad Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Research Award, completing a dedicated research sabbatical focused on advancing regenerative techniques.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Lee and his family enjoy traveling, being immersed in art, and exploring the connections between art and fashion. His appreciation for the arts continues to influence his work, allowing him to merge scientific precision with a refined aesthetic sensibility.
