Dr. Gronka grew up in Northeastern Pennsylvania near the Pocono Mountains and moved to Atlanta in 1977 to attend Emory University, where he earned the George P. Cuttino Award for academic achievement. He later received his Medical Doctorate from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Gronka brings more than 27 years of experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery and is Board Certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He completed five years of General Surgery training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, Florida, serving as Chief Resident in his final year, before continuing his education with a plastic surgery residency at The Ohio State University, where he trained under internationally recognized leaders in the field.
