About Eduardo Barroso, MD
Introduction
For over 28 years, Dr. Eduardo Barroso has provided the highest quality of Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery to his patients locally, nationally, and internationally. His experience and knowledge combined with a commitment to patient safety and well-being has attracted patients locally and around the world who are looking for safe a surgical experience, a commitment to excellence, and natural cosmetic results.
Dr. Barroso earned his bachelor’s degree in the Arts and Sciences from the University of Miami in 1984, graduating with the highest honor of Summa Cum Laude. He obtained his Doctorate degree in Medicine at the University of Miami in 1988 and then completed a full five-year General Surgery training program at Rush Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago in 1993 earning his first board certification in General Surgery. While still in Chicago, he completed a three-year fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the prestigious Northwestern University in 1996 and earned his second board certification in Plastic Surgery. Dr. Barroso is part of a unique group of plastic surgeons who hold dual board certification in both General Surgery and Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Barroso has been featured locally, nationally, and internationally in radio programs, newspaper articles, magazine interviews, and television programs for his work in cosmetic surgery. Dr. Barroso has an international following of patients throughout Europe, South and Central America, and the Caribbean. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and Miami Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Barroso was also the past president of the Miami Society of Plastic Surgeons and currently the Medical Director of South Miami Surgery Center.
Dr. Barroso is fluent in both English and Spanish and attracts patients from around the world. He has lectured extensively in North, South, and Central America on topics related to plastic and reconstructive surgery and participated in charitable operations and missions throughout Central America and the Caribbean.
