Dr. Salivaras received his medical degree with distinction from the National University of Athens. Following extensive training in General and Aesthetic & Reconstructive Plastic Surgery in Europe and Brazil, he awarded with honors the Specialist Title of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon in 2007 after completing a long, demanding and intense training program as a Plastic Surgery Resident at the prestigious Institute of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery Ivo Pitanguy in affiliation with the Catholic Pontifical University and Carlos Chagas Institute of Post Graduate Medical Studies in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, under the direct supervision of one of the most famous Plastic Surgeons in the world and Patron of the Brazilian Plastic Surgery, Professor Ivo Pitanguy.

Tummy Tuck on Cesarean Section

I'm 31, had my Cesarean Section 7 years ago. Now it's starting to hurt, and below my belly button I can feel a round mass: it's really painful. I want to have a tummy tuck but I'm concerned because of the mass I feel. If I have a tummy tuck will the mass get rid of itself too? Thank you.

An Ultrasound of abdomen, pelvis and abdominal wall is necessary in the beginning to identify and clarify the mentioned painful "mass". If nothing internally, then a tummy tuck (mini or full, based on the skin excess) certainly will help you get rid of it, as it will be part of the tissues excised. I hope this was helpful enough. I am 16 and my bra size is a 42K. Am I too young for a breast reduction?

My neck and back cause me pain sometimes. I'm only 16 but my breast size is getting out of hand in my opinion. Am I too young for a breast reduction?

There is no certain age limit regarding this procedure as long as you are able to understand and consent to what breast reduction entails, including risks, recovery, complications etc. Legally an authorisation from your parents is necessary prior to any intervention of this kind. Constant serious physical discomfort that significantly alters posture, breathing, ability to exercise is one thing and psychological effects along with lifestyle alterations and fashion demands through social media is another. Sometimes at the age of 16 you are not really sure what you really want and the risk of changing your mind after few months is there. Make sure that during the consultation you comprehend 100% all the details of this procedure including permanent scarring, possible sensitivity alterations, and desired size. Inverted nipple

My left breast is smaller and the nipple is inverted. I want them both same size and not bigger just firmer. What do you recommend?

A breast augmentation is the key either with fat grafting (if you have excess of fat) or breast implants (which surely will make them firmer) to achieve balance. The nipple easily can be inverted through both procedures. I hope this was helpful enough. Thank you.

Best treatment to fade a year old white scar

What would be the best treatment to fade a year old white scar? I am using Elidel but no results yet.

If it is wide enough then revision can be done. If it is just the whitish colour of a linear scar then in my hands a skin tattoo (micro pigmentation) will be more than enough to equalise the skin tone with 1-2 sessions. I hope this was helpful enough. Thank you
