Douglas L. Forman, MD, MBA, FACS is a board-certified plastic surgeon and head of the Plastic Surgery Institute of Washington in North Bethesda, Maryland, where he has practiced since 1998. Education & Training
Dr. Forman earned his medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed a general surgery residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, then continued his training with a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Yale School of Medicine, where he received numerous awards. He went on to complete a fellowship in Breast and Aesthetic Surgery at Georgetown University School of Medicine, after which he joined the faculty there as an Instructor in Plastic Surgery. Since 2006, he has also served as Medical Director for Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas across the Washington, DC metropolitan area. He has since taken on a series of leadership roles at Suburban Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, serving as Chair of Plastic Surgery, then Chief of Surgery, and ultimately Chair of the Medical Staff. He continues to teach as a part-time Clinical Instructor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Johns Hopkins University.
