A native of Bosnia, Dr. Maglić immigrated to the United States at the age of 11. He attended East Carolina University in North Carolina, graduating summa cum laude with a double major in chemistry and biochemistry. He continued his medical studies at East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine, graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. During his first year of medical school, he conducted research at St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN, where he studied pediatric sarcoma. He was also one of the few medical students selected to spend an academic year at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD, and was part of the Medical Research Scholars Program, where he studied rare diseases through the Undiagnosed Diseases Program.

After medical school, he moved to Utah to pursue surgical training at the University of Utah, where he completed his six-year Integrated Plastic Surgery residency.
