Throughout his career, he has contributed extensively to plastic surgery education and innovation through scientific publications, textbook authorship, and international lectures and live surgical demonstrations. His career highlights include development of the SPAIR Mammaplasty technique, development of the SAFE Aug breast rejuvenation technique, creation of the BodyLogic implant sizing system, participation in major breast implant research studies, and leadership as medical director for the Contour Profile Gel (CPG) implant study for Mentor Corporation.
Education & Training
Dr. Hammond completed both his undergraduate and medical education at the University of Michigan before pursuing integrated Plastic Surgery training in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He further advanced his expertise through fellowship training in Hand Surgery and Microsurgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin and a combined research and clinical fellowship in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Breast Surgery in Nashville, Tennessee under the direction of Dr. Pat Maxwell and Dr. Jack Fisher.
