Education & Training
A native of Jackson, Mississippi, Dr. Shell graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical School in 1974. He completed his general surgery training at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and completed his residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Tennessee at Memphis. In 1981, he received the “Outstanding Resident Award” from the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.
He is also active in pediatric plastic surgery.
