Breast reduction

In 2008 I had breast reduction but was left with one side untouched. I have since lost over 100 pounds and it looks awful. I don't understand why that was left over and I need to know how much this will cost to repair.

You are describing a unilateral reduction, presumably done for improving symmetry and for eliminating the excessive pull on your larger side. Now that you've lost weight, you will need to see a surgeon for an evaluation for what options you have for improving your look. Your goals and expectations will be heard and appreciated, your anatomy examined, and your options provided. This is not an insurance covered procedure so expect to pay cosmetic rates for everything and costs will vary by what choices you make. But improvements can be achieved... unfortunately it will require mores surgery.

Mini-tuck recovery is much faster than a traditional tuck with muscle repair. My patients are allowed to resume activities without restrictions 3 weeks post-op. Returning to work depends on what kind of job you have as more physically demanding jobs require more time before returning to that job. Pain is much better than with those tucks with muscle work. The only caution is to make sure you know your belly button options as remove and subsequent reconstruction are not often discussed when they should be.

Can fat be transferred to a person's upper arm?

Ideally you repair the problem so I am assuming you cannot repair your rupture... and in that scenario, fat can be grafted to literally anywhere on the body BUT it requires you rest the area for weeks and in my experience, body builders are the most non-compliant patients when it comes to restricted activities post-op. And you are correct that it will require more than one session as you evolve and you MUST have some excess fat that can be harvested. Not many body builders I know have that reservoir of fat to tap.

Tummy Tuck

My tummy tuck is planned for March 26, how soon can I travel by airplane?

When my patients have major procedures, they are warned that they should never do this before any events/trips that they cannot miss. Traveling by plane and going to distant areas would require that you are 'out of the woods' in terms of your recovery and that usually translates to a few weeks before getting the green light. But this is something you should discuss with your surgeon. I hope you're not traveling out of your area for a procedure by someone a distance away as it is always best to stay local when a list of complications are possible.
