About Carrie Kai-Cheng Chu, MD
Introduction
Dr. Chu is the Clinical Medical Director for the Julie Kyte Center for Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. In this role, she oversees the operations of the plastic and reconstructive surgery outpatient clinic, ensuring the delivery of high-quality ambulatory care to patients requiring reconstructive surgery.
Education & Training
Dr. Chu received her undergraduate education at Cornell University. After obtaining her Medical Doctorate with Alpha Omega Alpha honors from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2005, Dr. Chu went on to complete her general and plastic surgery residencies at Emory University School of Medicine, where she also received a Master of Science degree in Clinical Research. Upon completion of her fellowship in Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center, she was recruited to join the faculty of the Department of Plastic Surgery at MD Anderson in 2016.
