Dr. Mendez completed his undergraduate degree in biology at Illinois Wesleyan University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He then attended medical school and completed his General Surgery residency at Loyola University Medical Center.
To pursue a career in plastic and reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Mendez then moved to Dallas, TX, where he trained at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Memorial Hospital, which is consistently one of the most highly regarded plastic surgery residency programs in the nation.
