About Andrew L. Kochuba, MD

Introduction
Dr. Kochuba prides himself on his patient care and the relationships he forms, a personal connection that stems from his own experience as a patient. As a teenager, he underwent Plastic Surgery on his face and hands after an accident. It was this misfortune and life-changing experience that caused him to pursue a career in Plastic Surgery, as well as his relationship with his grandfather, Dr. Joseph Campana, the first doctor in the family.

Education & Training

Dr. Kochuba received his medical degree from the Georgetown University School of Medicine in our nation’s capital, Washington, DC. During medical school, he volunteered his time at the Hoya Clinic, Hands-On DC, and DC Central Kitchen. He graduated from medical school in the top ten of his class, Cum Laude, and was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha (the most prestigious medical school honor society).

Dr. Kochuba completed his general surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in NYC, widely considered one of the busiest hospital systems in the US. While in the Big Apple, he met his wife Melissa, a NICU Nurse and Lactation Consultant, fell in love, and got married. Dr. Kochuba is trained in Plastic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC).

UPMC is recognized as one of the most prestigious plastic surgery programs in the world and is currently ranked as the #1 plastic surgery residency in the country by Doximity. He trained with world leaders in plastic surgery who are experts and pioneers in general, reconstructive, and aesthetic-cosmetic plastic surgery. PITT Plastics is well known for its high, diverse clinical volume, cutting-edge research, unsurpassed clinical care, and educating future leaders in plastic surgery.

Dr. Kochuba completed his training at the internationally renowned Cleveland Clinic in an Aesthetic Society-endorsed aesthetic plastic surgery fellowship. Cleveland Clinic is consistently ranked as one of the top two hospitals in the nation by US News and World Report’s “Best Hospitals.” He trained exclusively in aesthetic plastic surgery under the mentorship of James Zins, MD, a world-renowned plastic surgeon who specializes in cosmetic plastic surgery of the face.
