Description

The University of Southern California (USC), Marina Plastic Surgery, Ghavami Plastic Surgery,  and Rox Center have come together to offer a unique aesthetic surgery fellowship.  The fellowship is structured to cover the full spectrum of aesthetic plastic surgery and cosmetic medicine in the private practices of USC clinical faculty members.  The fellowship is a 12-month commitment, in which 2 fellows per year will be selected to spend six-months at Marina Plastic Surgery and Ghavami Plastic Surgery and the other 6 months at the Rox Center (two 3-month blocks at each location).

In Marina del Rey, the fellows will work with Dr. Justin Perez, and Dr. Grant Stevens focusing on breast surgery, body contouring, and facial aesthetics.  They will also participate in advanced injectables at a very high-volume med spa.  Additionally, the fellow will become familiar with the latest non-ablative skin treatments and energy-based non-invasive body contouring.

In Beverly Hills, the fellows experience a high volume of rhinoplasty and complex nasal reconstruction with Dr. Jay Calvert.

Additionally, the fellows participate in an immersive breast and body contouring and rhinoplasty curriculum with Dr. Ashkan Ghavami.  Further facial aesthetics, breast and body contouring  experience will be gained with Dr. Andrew Ordon, Dr. Ritu Chopra, and Dr. Nate Villanueva. Dr Millicent Rovelo provides an educational experience in body lifts and breast aesthetics (including breast reduction and breast revision surgery). Fellows will also have the opportunity to visit other plastic surgeons in Los Angeles that specialize in particular procedures of interest to the fellow.

With the MarinaRox Fellows’ Clinic, there is the opportunity to perform “Fellow Cases.”  These fellow cases are patients that you alone see from consult through the post-operative period.  The fellows will have full admitting privileges at a local hospital (Cedars Marina del Rey). We are active in clinical research on aesthetic surgery topics, which will result in multiple publications and presentations each year.  You will learn more than just surgery at this busy private practice fellowship. Candidates must have completed an accredited training program in plastic surgery.  California medical license and DEA license are required.  Monthly Stipend and malpractice  are provided.
