We did it!! 🎉

The Aesthetic Surgery Journal now holds the highest Impact Factor in plastic surgery 3.9! This catapults ASJ into first place in our specialty (both plastic and aesthetic surgery) for the first time!

This is an incredible achievement and a reflection of the passion, expertise, and dedication of our entire community - editors Dr. Jeff Kenkel and Dr. Al Aly, our Editorial Board, staff, reviewers, authors, and volunteers alike. ASJ and ASJ Open Forum continue to be powerful platforms for advancing our specialty and supporting aesthetic professionals around the world.

Join me in celebrating this proud moment for The Aesthetic Society!

Impact Factor is the gold standard in academic publishing metrics, measuring the average number of citations last year to articles published in the prior two years. Our new Impact Factor measures total citations in 2024 to articles published in 2022 and 2023.

We are equally proud to share that ASJ Open Forum received its second score, increasing from 1.6 to 1.9 which is a great trajectory for the seven-year-old Journal.

Today we are proud to say both are journals are best in class and #1 in both plastic and aesthetic surgery, outpacing all competitors in the category.

Sincerely,
